HEMPACT
Consider that the average woman menstruates for 38 years —during which 35 pounds of plastic waste is created through the use of existing menstrual products. Meanwhile, in rural Alberta, over 20,000 acres of hemp parts are considered agricultural waste. Majority of these waste ends up in landfills.
So how can we addressing the problem of accumulating waste?
At Hempact, we seek to provide a creative solution to the ever-growing waste problem. By introducing biodegradable sanitary products made primarily with hemp fibre, we create value for our local suppliers and consumers. This eco-friendly and non-toxic solution re-purposes “hemp waste” while reducing our burden on the environment.
